The latest Rosenthal has the Reds new interim GM declining a Westbrook for Kearns deal -- http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5275954.
Kearns is pretty likely to do substantially out-produce Blake in right field next year. I'd be surprised if the Reds can do better than Westbrook. I don't think Shapiro does this if he's not convinced that a combination of Stanford/Sowers/Carmona can come in and replace Westbrook. Seems like a win-win.
