Man, the guy is blunt. Sometimes to a humorous degree. I don't know how much players and GMs actually interact, but it would seem tough to have your flaws aired so completely and factually.

The analysis of Coco is interesting -- you wonder if that's what Shapiro has told the Boston brass, too.

I'm not sure Graves or Karsay is going to see a major-league mound this year. Did no one in the press corps even ask about Karsay? The critique of Graves is hilarious.

Interesting thought about keeping the youngsters coming in waves to keep costs down and viability up.

The guy would seem to have a plan and a keen analytical mind.
