The fine folks at Baseball Think Factory have started up a cool-looking new blog called Baseball Centrist. You can access it here. It's an interesting concept - a blog that covers a division (AL Central) instead of just a team. So after you get your Tribe fix from LGT, CIR, DiaTribe, and Tribe Report, it sounds like this one will be worth checking out too.
Here's some of the introduction from the editor:
So, I had this bright idea, see?
For a long time, I've been intrigued by the concept of divisional blog. I really like the "old timey" concept of a small, cohesive league. For twenty years, I've been preaching that what baseball needs is to expand to 32 teams and create an superstructure founded around the four eight-team regional leagues. Wouldn't it be cool to see a league in which the White Sox, Cubs, Indians, Reds, Royals, Cardinals, Tigers and Brewers play each other 22 or 24 times a year? And then it's just a matter of time before we bring back train travel, starched white collars and the nickel cigar. . .
Anyway, since that will NEVER happen, I thought that it might be nice to have all the news, rumors, commentaries and snark from a single baseball division in a single place. This will be that place. Each team out there has scores of blogs, but only here will readers be able to get all the news from each team in the A.L. Central. On good days, this will be the place to find insightful analysis and provocative musings. On most days, we probably won't be that lucky.
