Unless I have missed it, we're still waiting on Carroll's Team Health Report on the Indians. They must be at the very end of the list.
I have a lot of respect for Carroll's work, but I thought we could try a quick estimate.
Here are the players I think we have a non-green light:
Boone = yellow. He appears to be all the way back, but with his age and history.
Martinez = yellow. I don't know, he logged plenty of innings behind the plate last year.
Um, that's all I see among the ML hitters. Hafner appears to have recovered. You could give Belliard a yellow just for his body shape.
Wickman = red. Age and body shape, lost some time in 2004.
Mota = red. Obvious.
Byrd = yellow. Injury history and age.
Davis = yellow. Shoulder problems in past.
Stanford = red. Still coming back.
Miller = red. Strained elbow problems last year.
I had Sabathia down as yellow, but I can't really justify it with anything except that he's a big-body power pitcher.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some obvious players.
