Before I get to Ocker's prediction, let me note that I feel 94 Tribe wins in my bones, and this has nothing to do with spring fever. I posted this prediction on my fridge two months ago.
But anyway, Ocker predicts 30 homers for Big Bad Ben Broussssie. I think that's probably a little bit high. Oh, here's another prediction I posted on my fridge during the dark days: "Broussard will be a huge dork in 2006."
I have another Broussard prediction. In '07, he'll release his next album: "No Jumbotron In Buffalo." Here are some lyrics: "Took a bad hop on the chin tonight. Struck out three times. Once in the 9th."
From Ocker's column:
"Now comes the tough part. Every year, I write that at least one thing will happen to the Indians that is totally unpredictable and illogical.
In 2005, there were at least three of these anomalies: the same five pitchers making all but four starts, Aaron Boone falling into a slump for two solid months and Kevin Millwood leading the league in earned-run average but winning only nine games.
This season, it will be Broussard hitting 30 home runs, even though he is sharing first base with Perez."
