Has anyone noticed the exhibition play of Aaron Boone? It seems that the aquisition of Andy Marte has possibly given Boone a little extra motivation to start the 2006 season in a great way.
Of course, he did play well after last season's All-Star break, so it shouldn't be that big of a surprise to see him lighting it up in spring training.
Right now he leads the Indians with a .464 batting average, and has hit three homeruns and driven in eight RBI.
What's great about this situation is that Marte is also having a great spring, hitting .343 with a homerun and eight RBI, so the Indians will have the kind of depth at third base they have been needing for some time.
