Tom Hamilton says that Karsay has been told that he has not won the job.  Karsay is planning to stay in Florida for the next month and continue to build arm strength.  He hopes to be ready if a position opens on the Tribe in April, unless he receives a major league offer from another team in the meantime.  I assume this means that Graves has won the job for now.

Also, TH says Shoppach has won the backup catcher job.  This leaves Diaz also in limbo, which is nice, because it gives Karsay someone to pay catch with.

Phillips versus Vazquez is the only battle left.  I think: even if Shapiro knows which way he wants to go, there's no hurry to make an announcement if he's working the phones.

And Willy Taveras just manufactured a run.  He's quick.
