Chuck Lofgren
5 IP today with only 2 hits allowed and no walks to go along with 8 strikeouts. Here's to four lefties in the rotation in two years!
I wonder what the Indians are going to do with all this pitching depth. It's really quite a nice luxury to have.
Maybe a package of Carmona and Snyder could net us a decent RFer at the trade deadline.

No offense, but...
When you say "decent RFer," I hope you mean "very good" RFer if you are giving up two of your Top 10 prospects (Top 5 actually according to BA - #4 & #3 respectively) - certainly better than a Juan Encarnacion-type, who might be considered a "decent RFer."
You may have meant "very good" RFer - if so, I apologize; but "decent RFer" makes me think of guys like Encarnacion, who in my opinion, is really not much better than Blake, except for being a few years younger.
Unless he's a Miguel-Cabrera-type or just a level below that, I wouldn't think of trading those two in one deal. Besides, if Blake is hitting like he is right now, maybe the Indians won't have to trade for a RFer this year, depending on how the division race stacks up.
Plus, will there be a good RFer available at the trading deadline that would be an upgrade from Blake? Who did you have in mind? Just curious.
I think we have to wait and see if we need an upgrade in RF and what is available. If an upgrade is needed and is an improvement over Blake, then it might be worth it to trade a few prospects, but not a boatload of them, though I doubt Shapiro would trade more than 2 major + 1 minor one at most.
Just my 2 cents. :-)
Take care and have a great day!
