July 2006

This team has made me go nuts.  I fully trusted the FO, Wedge, and Shapiro and after this season, I wish I never saw any of their faces again.  I could do a better job running this team than them...I promise.

Let's look at what is going on right now...the season is clearly over but Wedge still continues to have horrible batting orders (I thought the offense was never the problem) and ridiculous lineup changes.  Why would Ramon Vazquez, who is batting below .200!!!, start at 3B...EVER!!!  Why is he on this team period!!!  The only way you keep a bad to below average UTIL guy over a young guy like Phillips is if he is a great fielder (McDonald type).

If you dont want to play Boone, play Blake at 3B and keep Gutierrez in the majors to get seasoned.  THERE IS NO PLACE ON THIS TEAM FOR TODD HOLLANDSWORTH AND JASON MICHAELS!  Why should they ever play over Gutierrez, Inglett, or even Marte?  Why is Inglett on this team if he isnt going to play?  If other teams want Boone, Westbrook, Hollandsworth, Michaels, WHY DO WE KEEP EM!!!  The Yankees just signed Aaron Guiel and were rumored to want Hollandsworth...you are telling me the Indians turned down an offer for him?  I would take money for him so we could sign a free agent.  We all know the Yankees have money.

But people, please comment here for me.  Wouldnt you like a lineup like this?

C - Vic/Shoppach
1B - Broussard/Garko/Vic
2B - Belliard/Inglett
SS - Peralta
3B - Marte/Blake
OF - Sizemore, Gutierrez, Blake, Inglett

Or do you want Hollandsworth, Michaels, Boone, Vazquez...

Do you want Wickman blowing saves or eating up a spot (literally eating) or do you want Carmona to test out closing?

This season is the most disappointing season I have ever seen following baseball in my life for a team.  ESPN had them number 2 or 1 in baseball in the power rankings early.  They have a better record than 2 teams in the AL right now...THE ROYALS AND DEVIL RAYS!!!  Can you believe that?
