Wickman Moved to Atlanta
There's the first domino to fall:
They don't list the name of the prospect, but it should be a decent one. All the story says is that the prospect will not impact the team in 2006.
I would assume that Langerhans and/or Betemit would be named.

"Ramirez was hitting .285 with nine homers and 37 RBIs at Class A Rome this year. The 21-year-old catcher established himself as a solid prospect while hitting .347 at Danville last season. His success at the rookie level led him to be named the Appalachian League's co-player of the year."
He has a .408 SLG, .449 OBP, and .285 AVG so far this season.
Um, Class A catching prospect? That's the best we could do for a veteran closer to a team that has no closer? I think we got ripped off a little.

I would imagine the Indians were somewhat limited by the number of teams Wickman would accept a trade to. But if Majewski and Bray get Kearns and Lopez, I would have thought that the Indians would get someone at least close to major league ready.
This would also seem to tell me that the Indians will be lucky to get a bucket of baseballs for the rest of what is on the block.

He also positioned himself as a buyer and a seller in his press conference.

the deadline; however, he did unload about
$2M of salary on Atlanta, which should increase
Shapiro's flexibility.
The dollars saved are probably more important to
the Indians than the player traded for.
