Crowe Ahead of Schedule
According to the Akron Beacon Journal today, Trevor Crowe took batting practice and was running the bases at full-speed, and now could be back as early as Thursday. Considering this originally looked really serious, this is very good news!
``His recovery is going very well,'' said Antonetti, who was on the field for batting practice monitoring the Tribe's first-round pick (14th overall) in the 2005 draft.
``He ran the bases today full speed, so we'll see how he responds tomorrow and go from there. Barring any setbacks, he could be back in the lineup by the end of the week.''

Thanks for reporting that!
ASP - thanks for the good news! Maybe our luck is finally changing, though the good recovery by Adam Miller with no setbacks would have to be considered good luck as well. May it continue!

Re: Crowe Ahead of Schedule
My guess: Goleski gets promoted, and Jason Cooper develops tendonitis.
Barton is still up - he played RF tonight!
Goleski is still at Akron, playing LF, but so is Barton - he played RF tonight. Jonathan Van Every completed the OF by playing in CF tonight; Snyder was on the bench.
Re: Barton is still up - he played RF tonight!
Ryan Mulhern was put on the disabled list with a bruised, making room for Crowe without any other promotions or demotions.

Agreed, Ryan!
ASP - again, thanks for the info.!
Ryan - Hopefully, the Indians make a good roster move regarding the crowded Akron outfield.

Re: Crowe Ahead of Schedule
Oops, perhaps that was too painful to mention :-)
Actually, none of these "double jumps" seems to have resulted in great career moves. Maybe the FO has done a good job at finding a starting point for prospects at the beginning of the season so that one jump is all that is appropriate.
However, Super Joe Inglett's double jump this year may be one of the better ones.

Good call!
Ryan - that's a good guess - Cooper is not a prospect anymore and Goleski has had sustained success for a while now, so moving him up to AAA seems like a good guess to me.
