International LGTers

Dear international LGTers,

I was wondering what your plan was to get the postseason games. I subscribed to MLBtv for the season but am pretty sure that it does not cover any of the postseason games. Do you know if MLB will offer an equivalent for postseason games? TBS & TNT are pretty hard to find out here and I dont want to spend the rest of the upcoming week in and out of a bar if I dont have to.

Any info would be appreciated.

Re: International LGTers
If you go to MLB.com you will find them rigorously promoting their post-season tv package...so I would suggest starting there.

Re: International LGTers
Actually, Joost and MLB reached an agreement that will allow Joost to re-broadcast each game of the playoffs on demand for INTL viewers. Joost is still invite-only I think and if that's the case I might have an invite or two for any International LGTers in need of a free way to watch the playoffs.

Re: International LGTers
I just need an email address to send the invite to. The games will be re-aired and not broadcast live, though. Although if you live in some parts of the world watching the games live might be a huge inconvenience.

I just went to the site and it's not open to all.

Re: International LGTers
I would be interested in this as well (never heard of Joost).

Also, I know that NASN (North American Sports Network) is covering the games. I believe it is available with certain cable packages, or maybe you have to pay for a whole chunk of the year. Not certain.

Re: International LGTers
Just need an email addy. I'll send out invites in the order of people expressing interest here. I do not know how many people I can invite. I hope it's everyone.

I don't know how to edit comments so I'm just going to reply to myself.

Joost is now in public beta so you can sign up without an invitation.

Re: International LGTers
My understanding is international viewers get every post-season game live via MLB.TV.

Has there been a change in TV rights for the baseball playoffs? In the past here in NZ we have usually seen the AL playoffs plus World Series on ESPN, note in my October SkyWatch magazine there is no baseball coverage listed.

Re: International LGTers
I believe that is still the case . . . one just has to pay a separate fee for post-season viewing.

Jerusalem, represent!

Anyways this is both a suggestion and a cry for help: Sopcast.

People have been talking about it here, so I downloaded it, and I have had trouble finding the channels I want - how do I know that I'll definitely be able to watch the games I want when I want?
Can anyone help me with this?

Re: International LGTers
Shalom and Happy New Year.

I learned about SopCast from Chris Pokorny at DawgsByNature.com, the Browns' SB Nation website. I couldn't really get the hang of it, either. Chris also told to me about MooheadRadio.com. Maybe I'll drop them a line and see if they plan to show the games.

B'hatzlacha!

Re: International LGTers
Hey man, dunno what you've decided to in the UK. I was going to sign up to mlb.tv for the post season, which works out at about £13-£15 depending on the exchange rate.

But I'm with Virgin Media, and they're offering NASN for £5 a month. I don't know if its an option, but as long as you cancel it after 30 days its much cheaper....and much better than watching it on the computer. According to their schedule, they should be showing all the games.

Also! If there are any other LGTers in London, there are a few bars that should be showing it, such as Belushis and Sports Cafe, and would be up for grabbing a beer when we make the World Series!
