This is my first post, though I've been a lurker for most of this season. Also, believe me, when I selected this user name, I had no idea the irony it would lead to by this time in October. People here ask who I'm going to root for if Cleveland gets to the WS, and I look at them like they're crazy. I have been a Tribe fan since 1971 though I moved away in '82.
I am cautiously optimistic about Game 6. What are the chances that we go 0 for 4 on solid starts from our 2 aces (in fact, CC would've had a quality start had Wedge pulled him after 6 last night)? The main reason for my post, though, is to link this Tom Boswell column praising the Tribe's organization, and to remind everyone that we are in this for the long haul. Manny is confident that if the Sox lose, there will always be next year. But we should be, too. This team and organization are built to be good for many years to come with great scouting, a solid farm system, and overall great general office management. All for a bargain payroll.
