Jesus, I just read the game threads from last night and I'm embarrassed.

First of all, if you would ACTUALLY PINCH HIT FOR TRAVIS HAFNER, stop posting.  I was as frustrated as anyone with Hafner, but for God's sake, GET OFF THE LEDGE.  He's struggling, but he did happen to be facing the current best pitcher on the planet.  Has he been bad in this series?  Yeah.  But he's a monstrously important cog in our lineup that is scoring plenty of runs to win the freaking title.  

Being frustrated with Pronk is fine.  Calling for Trot Nixon should earn a temporary ban.  And you're going to feel silly when we celebrate, and everyone agrees that this was a team effort with a great group of guys.

Also!  Rafael Perez is fine.  Walking JD Drew is a joke, but I promise that Wedge and Willis made that clear to him after the game.  His problems were caused by an error and a perfect bunt.

And furthermore!  This message board is too smart to have so many knee-jerk, apocolyptic reactions.  Mastny's game-two performance was a huge story, precisely because he sucks.  Some people were calling for him to have a more prominent role.  Took one game to change that!  Let's remember that the playoffs are a fluke, folks.  

And finally!  We all wanted them to close it out last night.  Really, really wanted them to do that.  But CC defecated in the sleeping quarters, and Beckett didn't.  Fine.  We've earned a 3-2 lead and we're going to go close it out.  The feel of last night's thread made it seem like we blew an 8-run lead with a chance to win the World Series.  This stuff is hard, guys.  C'mon now.
