Fenway Park must go. From an aesthetic point of view, it's quite fine. But let's face it, it's not up to the standards of modern baseball. It makes for some ugly, fluky contests. Doubles become outs or triples, and singles or outs become doubles. It's all messed up. Even the televised camera action sucks. Modern parks introduce some irregular features, but all mantain a basic symmetry. Not so with Fenway. It is my hope that MLB encourages their club to build a new facility, with regularized field dimensions. Give them 10 years to do it. Make a shrine of portions of the park and build a bunch of condos or something. Finance a new, larger facility. The damn thing will increase their revenues, but I'd rather that be the case than to have to watch another series in that shithole.
