Re: Game Thread: October 4, 2007
Oh, I'm looking very forward to Game 3 when everyone's favorite overpaid over-the-hill drama queen takes the mound and:

 a) implodes and gives up like 6 runs

 b) throws another strike/ball hissy fit at the umpire

 c) throws at a batter (possibly as a result of options A or B)

 d) "pulls his hamstring" again after a particularly crappy inning

While I'm not sure if any of these antics from The $25,000,000 Man will earn the derision of the Bronx this weekend, it has certainly earned mine over the past 6 or so years.

good link from espn (pay content): http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2007/insider/news/story?id=3048949

basically talks about how the yanks have struggled all year against lefties who can be effective in the zone. Also notes that CC has given up three hits off of his slider when he has been ahead in the count all year! The last one was way back on July 19th, and the only one of the three that was well hit was erstads homer in first game of the season. holy crap

No it was not a stupid play.  The worst case was that Grady was thrown out with two outs which he was.  The problem was that Grady's lead was to spread out and didn't get a good jump.  Posada is also an underrated catcher.  The double play and base running error by JP cost us much more then that CS.

Also, home runs.  They annoy me too.

There is some value to it but do we need to see it when Casey Blake, Victor or Haftner are on base?  I would think not.

Any way I'm here for an inning and then I gotta get back to the tube.

The 9-foot thing and the PitchTrax don't seem
very useful to me; the TBS announcers seem to either not have it on their screen or they don't pay attention to it to determine whether they thought a pitch was a strike or not.
