It's 'cause of their native weather that he mentioned that, not their ethnicity.  It wouldn't have been racist to say Hafner had an advantage in the April blizzards because he's from North Dakota.

I played in the Dominican Republic with [Carmona] last winter, and there were bugs 10 times that size flying around that field,'' Garko said. "Those bugs scared me to death. They were enormous.

Great win!
Hello everyone,

Great win - nice work by Pronk after a couple of so-so swings on the night; nice to see him adjust to the changeup and hit it solidly to right-center field - well done!

Great work by Fausto - he was outstanding!  :-)

Jay - regarding your comment about Joba, yes, I can just imagine Yankee fans complaining about the bugs affecting Joba.

And yes, Borowski hasn't been the problem I thought he would be either - may that continue!  :-)

And, regarding the TBS broadcasts, I was watching the latter part of the game in mute - their announcers are getting on my nerves with all their pro-Yankee talk, blowing up virtually everything positive they did.  I eventually had to shut them up.  :-)

Again, great win - let's take a day off to "decompress" and come back Sunday - hopefully, we can win 3 straight!

Come on Angels - beat those Red Sox.

Go Tribe! :-)
