CNNMoney reports today that MLB is likely to drop proposed exclusive deal with DirecTV.

Cable operators are reported likely to agree to carry the proposed Baseball Network beginning in 2009, which DirecTV had already agreed to support.

This is good news for eveybody who prefers to get Extra Innings over cable.
