A key(?!) to the season?
Guys, help me out here. I can't get Tom Mastny out of my head. I am suffering from a recurring, run-on sentence nightmare brought on because the RHP portion of the bullpen scares me. Borowski gets people out on fumes, Betancourt hasn't been entirely the same since his involuntary vacation in mid-2005, Hernandez might wake up and realize that he was at Lincoln's inaugral and that going to the AL wasn't the greatest idea, Cabrera's stuff might succumb to the entropy of his unrepeatable mechanics, Matt Miller will fail rehab and Jason Davis will be....Jason Davis. Into the abyss rides this 6-foot-5, 225-pound graduate from Furman who, I believe was born in Indonesia. Tom is a guy who scouts hate who just gets people out - like David Riske's good twin. I really like the guy but should seriously consider increasing (or decreasing) the dosage of some curative that I'm apparently not yet taking. Does anyone share this nightmare? Are there any like-minded kooks who think that the likes of a Tom Mastny could wind up driving the bus that is Tribe 07?
