The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the Reds will hit 2B Brandon Phillips third. Going into Tuesday's game, Phillips was hitting .351 with five homers and 10 RBI. "It's comfortable for me," Phillips said. "I hit there a lot in the minor leagues. It's cool. ... I don't think about all the baseball logic - the left-handed and right-handed stuff. You've still got to hit the ball regardless of who's behind you."
I thought Phillips would flop this year. He still might. Is it wrong for me to root against him?
