Minor Action, 4/11

Ottawa 13, Buffalo 7

Looks like Ottawa missed an extra point somewhere.

The Bisons' pitchers got hammered, starting with Brian Slocum, who allowed 5 hits, 5 walks, and 5 runs in 4 innings. Neither Sean Smith nor Jim Ed Warden fared any better.

The best offensive line belonged to Shin-Soo Choo, who got on base each of his five plate appearances.

Altoona 4, Akron 3 (10)

Every one of the Aeros' starting nine got a single hit except Brandon Pinckney. Aaron Laffey allowed just 2 hits in 6 innings of work - looks like his sinker was working.

Kinston 2, Wilmington 1 (11)

Harvard graduate Frank Herrmann pitched 6 solid innings, and the bullpen blanked the Blue Rocks the rest of the way. Stephen Head hit a home run, and Max Ramirez collected two hits.

Lake County's game was rained out.
