This is Byrd's second trip to the mound this year, but the first time it will count in the official statistics.

John Danks came to Chicago in a five-player deal last winter. The main player going to Texas was Brandon McCarthy, who looked to be in line to enter the rotation this year. Danks is just 21 years old, has a fastball that sits in the low 90s, and has a plus curve. He'll also throw a changeup, along with a two-seam fastball.
