(Story on Page 2)
According to Hoynsie's article today, Kbrera, who has recently looked more like CabHRera (and that's my last nickname related attempt at humor,) has been effectively shut down. He's gonna pitch some bullpen sessions with Johnny Mustache (since he can't be sent down = 0 options left) and see if they can work out his mechanics, including his penchant for ending his throwing motion with his feet coming down in foul territory near the visitors dugout. Also entertaining is the brief reference to Oldberto's struggles. Wedge isn't worried about him, seemingly due only to grit.
"Said Wedge: 'Roberto is a veteran. He's been in every role. He'll figure it out.'"
My take on this is that it's always a shame when, going into Detroit for the first time all year, we've announced that one of our relievers simply won't be coming out of the bullpen, but that there's nothing we can do with him as far as a replacement. Seems like several members of the bullpen are going to be in a JD-esque situation during this season.
PS I hope this link works better than the last one, if not, go to cleveland.com for the whole article. If it doesn't work, someone tell me what I'm doing wrong.
