Best Tribe and LGT Moment of May

We're winding down the month here and I wanted to go ahead and open up the Best of May thread while acknowledging that we still have a couple of games to play and countless posts to weed through before we wave so long to May.

So let's hear it LGT'ers, my people have now declared the Best of May diary open.

Re: Best Tribe and LGT Moment of May
The post-game frivolities after Hafner hit that check-swing shift-beater was one of my favorite threads to be a part of.  The game wasn't bad either.

Re: Best Tribe and LGT Moment of May
We need a link to that thread, don't you think?  I hate that I wasn't a part of the thread that night.  The condensed the thread was hysterical.

My favorite moment of everything this year is Jhonny Peralta. He makes me so, so happy.

Re: Best Tribe and LGT Moment of May
In general in May, Jhonny and Fausto. For a specific moment, Vic and Garko's back to back dingers to beat Santana for the second time.

I can't believe it took 6 posts to get a real moment.  Nicely done Dave.

Mike Rouse's two runs scored on May 3 vs. Toronto in a 6-5 victory.  His WARP had to be off the charts.

The player who impressed me the most this month is is J-Barf, for his ongoing defensive excelence and steady improvements at the plate.

The effort from Mastny and Fultz to get out of the bases loaded jam last night has me tingling even now.

Tingling?  Uhh, maybe you should see a physician...

Depends on the kind of tingling. Maybe he just needs some alone time.
I've changed my mechanics and now I throw over 100.

Re: Best Tribe and LGT Moment of May
My best moments of the month:

Tribe Moment:  That's easy, Pronk hitting a grand slam in Baltimore.  I was in the stands.  That one is cemented in time for me anyway.  In the midst of a pretty rotten month for Pronk, it was nice to get to see a true highlight from him.

LGT Moment:  More of quote actually.  From the Mauer to DL, Clemens to NY thread (that disintegrated into mudslinging) there was this quote from AngG.

My completely unscientific reasoning for thinking Clemens is a dick: my mother has a crush on him, and my mother is ridiculously fond of dudes who turn out to be dicks.

There are some great quotes in that diary.  Everyone owes it to themselves to go back and find the great quotes of May.

Re: Best Tribe and LGT Moment of May
I agree with MTF.  The Fultz-Ortiz matchup was tense.  It was important that Fultz looked like he had his mechanics worked out (even if Ortiz had gotten a hit).

And Mastny's strikeout of the red-hot Youkilis was even more impressive.

As a side note, it is audibly pleasing to have Coco bat before Youkilis at Fenway, because the "boos" transition nicely into the "yoos."

Re: Best Tribe and LGT Moment of May
I'm going to vote for the second Fausto-Santana matchup.  It was an afternoon game and I recall correctly, it directly spawned the Tavarez poll.
