Victory Song?

i was at the game last night and quite literally heard music to my ears.  the indians have begun playing a familiar tune at the end of home wins, the same song that was played during the mid-90's/hargrove years.  it sounds like john mellencamp but i have never been able to get an answer as to the name or artist. i thought it was the dance by garth brooks, but on my youtube research i found that to be a slow and depressing song. anyone know the title and singer? the song gives me goosebumps every time pretty much because of the great memories it gives me.
and oh yeah, this season sure as hell feels like 95 doesn't it?

Re: Victory Song?
Hmmm, I'm shot in the darking this, as I was like 9 in the mid 90s and haven't been this season.

But if you thought it was The Dance by Garth Brooks perhaps it was Standing Outside The Fire by Garth Brooks?

Here it is, complete with some clips from hit WB (or wait, umm, "The U" or something) show, Veronica Mars!

Yeah, I grew up in the South.

Re: Victory Song?
It wasn't the "Talkin' Tribe" song, was it? Man, I need to find that song somewhere. There's also a new terrible/awesome song for one of WTAM's programs that they play at the game now, some sort of chanting of "Let's Go Tribe."

Re: Victory Song?
I could probably get you the Talkin Tribe song when I visit my parents at the end of May. I had a best of 1995 CD that opened with that song.

I would LOVE you forever... or I guess just thank you a lot...

Re: Victory Song?
Yea man, it probably wont be until Memorial Day weekend. I don't know the most convenient way to transmit it over the internet, let me know what you think.

Re: Victory Song?
That'd be great man. Probably could just rip it off the CD and send it over e-mail... I dunno.

Re: Victory Song?
I feel like we found that last year. I recall spending a whole day listening to it over and over.

I could be mixing it up with Buffalo's old city theme song: Talkin' Proud.

Re: Victory Song?
Whenever I hear WTAM's "Let's Go Tribe" I think it's somehow an advertisement for here.

Re: Victory Song?
I remember them playing "Cleveland Rocks" in the 90's. I always thought that was the most fitting.

I agree. I can't believe they never play it anymore.

Re: Victory Song?
I think it's "Again Tonight" by Johnny Cougar.

I think.

Re: Victory Song?
"Again Tonight" by John (Cougar, if he still uses it) Mellencamp - yep, that's it.  I noticed it as well.  Hopefully, quite apropos for the season.

If someone is able to post an audio link, that would be great.

Re: Victory Song?
Yep, that's it.  Sounds great.

It's only the first 30 seconds though.  It would be nice of the whole thing was post-able. . . .

Music piracy link deleted ... FYI, I am in the music business and will be even less tolerant of this than other kinds of theft.

"Again Tonight" is 99 cents on iTunes.  You love it that much, you can invest the dollar.

Re: Victory Song?
Sure it wasn't "Glory Days"?  They played that all the time.

Re: Victory Song?
I'm positive about the Mellencamp song.  In the mid 90's, "Glory Days" was usually the second song following a Tribe victory, after Mellencamp.

Only when he answers that age-old question, "Whose country is it?"

Ah, this is OUR country!  Thanks Johnny Cougar!
