No Need to Panic!

OK, guys, I think it may be time for another boost of positivism. There has been an awful lot of negativity on here lately. After these last few tough losses, frustration is not only natural but justified. The thing that is not justified is irrational negativity, and all of us -- myself included -- have been guilty of it to some degree lately.

Let's put this into perspective: every team will have their slumps, so maybe we just hit a rough patch after a hot start. We're still in first and, no matter what happens, things are looking great in terms of chances to get into the playoffs. The bats came around tonight, and there have been some promising signs of life from people we thought were down and out.

Grady is awesome. Barfield is really turning it up. Blake has been surprisingly good. CC is dominating. Fausto is locked in. Byrd is solid (outside of tonight's anomaly). Betancourt is nasty. Jhonny is living up to 2005. Victor is ridiculous. Hafner will come around.

This team has so much going for it; it is nearly impossible to repeat the letdown of 2006. We can't let ourselves get so discouraged by a few games when we have so much upside to look forward to.

There's a whole lot of season left, still, and this team has shown nothing but signs of being built to last. We got this, guys, now let's get behind our Tribe and stay behind them. To the playoffs!
