According to the Miami Herald, the Marlins are looking for a long-term solution in center field and Franklin Gutierrez is at or near the top of their list.

I wouldn't necessarily mind trading him - his strikeout and walk rates still worry me - but even if Franklin projects as a fourth outfielder, what would the Marlins have that would interest Cleveland?
In terms of veterans, Armando Benitez is a possibility, but he hasn't been consistently effective in three years. I can't see Willis or Cabrera being any part of a Gutierrez deal. BK Kim is junk, Boone and Olivo are awful. It's not going to be a young, effective, cheap major league player. So it'd almost have to be a prospect.
But who? The Marlins don't really have much down there in the minors. Chris Coghlan looks vaguely interesting. Logan Morrison is a stud, but I can't see them parting with him for Gutierrez.
Henry Owens maybe?
Am I missing someone? Or is the Herald just blowing smoke?
