Laffey Starting Tonight

Starting for Buffalo that is. All of rumors seem to be much ado about nothing. Perhaps a trade fell through at the last minute or something will still take place today (assuming Cabrera was put on waivers Monday). Considering the price the Brewers paid in their trade, I can certainly see Shapiro passing on any potential trades this year.

Re: Laffey Starting Tonight
Yeah, it has all the signs of a trade that fell through.

I still can't get over "Cleveland Cherry".  Great stuff, man.

Perhaps your Fausto Can can make the game recap...

Re: Laffey Starting Tonight
Maybe he's going to pitch a little in that one, speed down I-90 to Cleveland and start tonight's game? Herman "Hi" Bell ain't got nothing on Laffey!

Of course, if you assume Clifton is on the hill tonight, you gotta be thinking this...

Which sleepy kitten will we get tonight?

Re: Laffey Starting Tonight
Oh, thanks.
So, you have to go and make them yourself? Is there a website that generates them?

Re: Laffey Starting Tonight
I just Photoshopped that one myself, but apparently on this site it can do it for you.

can I request some sort of a Mike Rouse photoshop for your next piece?

Re: Laffey Starting Tonight
If I (or anyone else) can come up with something creative, I'd be happy to use the Photoshop for any and all humorous Indian creations.

Re: Laffey Starting Tonight
I keep trying to come up with a good joke using the word "A-Rouse-d." And failing.

How about his face on the head of every member of the cast of Full House? "Full Rouse."

BTW, I think Mike Rouse has done a great job this year. We have a utility infielder that actually fields, and a pinch runner that actually runs. Frankly, I feel that's an improvement.

I'm not sure I'm okay with the Mike Rouse version of Uncle Jesse.

Re: Laffey Starting Tonight
All our childhood dreams die sometime, Ang. Jodie Sweetin turned out hotter than Candice Cameron. (I'll leave the Olsen twins out of this discussion.) Who saw that coming?

Re: Laffey Starting Tonight
Val Bure married Candice Cameron. That has to be one of the random athlete/thespian marriages of all-time.

Whining about how the utility infielder is hitting is the lowest form of baseball conversation.

Re: Laffey Starting Tonight
With the exception of Asdrubal and some recently promoted pitching, we've kind of tapped out the keg of high-level prospects. On one hand, that's what depth is for. On the other, it would be nice to see some of the guys in Akron bust out.

Re: Laffey Starting Tonight
It's not easy to have a bunch of good prospects in the high minors when half your starters are under 25.

Re: Laffey Starting Tonight
Laffey's gotten a lot of ground ball outs today and a few K's. Just made one mistake to the immortal Wiki Gonzalez, though he was squeezed on the 2-2 pitch. Even the pitch he knocked out was a decent pitch
