To make room for Saturday's starter, Jason Stanford is being designated for assignment as reported here on indians.com.  He was not used in his last 7 games in an Indians uniform and was snubbed for Saturday's start, which is expected to go to Aaron Laffey.  He intends to remain a starter when he goes to his next team.
