summation:
some things are pretty much the same.
some things are a little different.
some things are in the past.
reyes likes to communicate and have fun.
you forgot:
St. Louis fans know more about the game than Cleveland fans, and more of the former show up to ballgames.
As someone who lives in St. Louis, I’m not sure I buy that they’re more knowledgeable than Cleveland fans. Less negative for sure, though.
People who aren’t negative totally suck.

As someone who dated a St. Louis girl for three years and spent a lot of time with her season ticket holding family, they are no more knowledgeable than any other fanbase* and they are just as hard on their team as Clevelanders are. They get as negative as we do. Unless it’s about Tony LaRussa, who until recently has been pretty sacred.
*This whole notion of a knowledgeable fanbase is ridiculous. As if there aren’t absolute idiots or die-hards that follow every team.

This guy is totally being railroaded. He is obviously referring to the Moran family, of which Erin Moran, former star of Happy Days and Joanne Loves Chachi is a member.
Upset with the Moran family for neglecting their daughter’s long-suffering career, he implores them to “Get a Brain!” While some should argue that his handwritten plea should read “Get Brains!” he is abstractly referencing the mindless collective in the Moran household that has only exacerbated poor Erin’s plight.
Go USA is a rather obtuse way of suggesting they should work with only domestic production companies and/or agents, but with such limited space and a highly sophisticated treatise, he has condensed his argument to fit the constrained and flawed protest dynamic. While I admire his passion, I am not sure this component of his rhetoric is wise — Erin Moran could reap a handsome income as a feature player in Bollywood productions.
That he is a Cardinals fan and a member of the Mullet Mafia is merely coincidental.
Pinch-hitting Carroll for Marte at this point in the season is inexcusable. I’ve had it with Wedge. He’s a younger, paler Dusty Baker.

I don’t really take offense to the comment. It’s impossible to quantify. It’s just an opinion. And I’d certainly agree that, like in similar situations across the country, Jacobs Field was packed with pretty unintelligible “fans” during its successful 1990s run. When you get the tickets for free from your boss, what can you really expect?
Is Reyes’ elbow injury supposed to be serious and/or something that could be a big issue in 2009? From what it sounded like, the Indians shut him down at the end of the season more as a precautionary measure.
I’d imagine that Reyes, minus a horrible spring training or injury, is more or less a lock for the rotation next year.
I’d agree that (with your qualifiers) he’s a lock to start the year in the rotation, but far from a lock to end the year there.
I’m irrationally high on him. He’s our next Cy Young.

I agree. His name is Fausto Carmona, and he’ll see you in 2009.
