Nice Pitching Line
Man, would I love to see something like this, say, next August in a tight race?

Which one? I’d take either line from Aguilas in August or October.

I think Atkins and Willis and the new bp guy were down there to watch. We’ll probably hear some FO report – doesn’t Atkins give regular missives to the press?
Also, Tony Sipp is on the same roster, listed as active but hasn’t pitched yet. That’s the only way that line could’ve been better.

Woooo
Travis Hafner is overrated. Clarity is underrated. David Dellucci is David Dellucci.

They’ve got Fausto in his old Bisons cap on his player page, and he looks high as a kite. Note the hair.

Who else feels like this is the turning point for our 2009 season?

Not so fast. He pitched against Pablo Ozuna AKA PabOz, Fernando Tatis, and a bunch of nobodies

Wow, are you ever the glass-is-half-empty guy. He faced nine batters and blew them away. Even if they were fringe major leaguers, he still struck out five of them and didn’t give up one hit or walk. Would you be impressed if he struck out eight of them?

And Carmona – 7 k’s (drumroll please) 0 walks in 6 innings. He has the potential to make it 3 for 3 for Cy Young if he can keep that up.
Last year was the outlier so far for FC – 5 walks per 9 innings. His ML avg including last year is 3.5, his minor league avg is 1.6.

Don’t get me wrong… I’m excited about Miller. I just don’t think you can look too much into this. It’s November Baseball.

I think at least on this site, there is an assumption that everyone knows how small of a sample one game is.

Jebus. Stuff-wise, these two represent the highest density on the Indians’ roster. Glad to see them succeed.

There’s something special about these two appearing in the same game.
Of course, I’m a little tipsy right now. Maybe I’m just being sentimental.

Sentimental? I doubt they’ve ever appeared in a game before this Winter.

Didn’t mean to imply that.
Sentimental for a healthy Adam Miller & 2007 Fausto.

I hate to be a downer, but is it wise to use Atom for a 3 inning save in a meaningless winter ball game coming off his finger injury?

Of all the things I worry about, the overuse of Indians pitching prospects is not one of them.
Miller is going to have a short offseason, but you have to realize, he’s barely thrown 100 innings since the end of 2006. At some point, a pitcher has to pitch!

He had been starting, so it’s not like 3 innings is over-extending him. He’ll be in the bullpen the rest of the winter league season.

Which is over tomorrow for him, apparently. That was the plan at least. I hope they leave him down there for a while, though, get some reps in as a reliever.
