Jeremy Sowers Prospectus Q & A
Pretty cool interview in which Sowers is talking about politics and over-thinking on the mound.

If I tried to play one of them in chess, I’d totally get waxed.
I remember in one of his postgames on the radio this year he ended an answer with, “So it’s not like I got totally spanked out there.”
Jeremy Sowers, political aficionado, Ayn Rand fan, surfer dude.

Am the only one who tends to find these BP Q&As totally boring?

no. especially when most of the thing is about politics.

I kind of like getting an insight into a player’s personality and I think you can learn some of it from any sort of interview such as this. That said, I found myself quickly skimming through his responses instead of reading the entire thing

yeah, it’s not really spectacular, but like Roger said, it gives you a little bit of insight into a player’s personality. Sowers comes across as an intelligent guy and it’s a break from all of the cliché answers most players give.

Admittedly the Sowers one was more interesting than the Reyes one (which was spectacularly uninformative). But are follow up questions not allowed?

This is what happens when you interview people over email.

I don’t find them totally boring, but it’s a given that they’re not likely to make any big news, and they aren’t in-depth profiles like a major magazine feature.
