Around SBN: Clippers Need To Realize That Spurs Are The Anti-Grizzlies

In other news from the Bellagio, the BBWAA has voted to approve four new net-centric scribes, including Will Carroll and Christina Kahrl of Baseball Prospectus and Rob Neyer and Keith Law of ESPN.com. Last year, Neyer and Law weren't good enough, but they've been granted the keys to the fluorescent green chartreuse BBWAA washroom.

Nice. We should start seeing more intelligent MVP and Cy Young votes. Grady may have a chance of winning in the next few years.

The best thing probably is to hit [Grady] 2nd -- Jay

But have Neyer and Law accepted?

I don’t think they have much of a choice. Last year, Law said he’d never ask to get in again. I’m assuming the 4 letter word wanted to be able to say they had more BBWAA members on staff, and threw their names into the hat for them.

Technically that color is Chartreuse

Did you know that web chartreuse is a completely different color than real life chartreuse? I mean, they don’t just look different in different situations, they’re actually pretty different?

I learned this recently.

Perhaps a few moments after I learned the very same thing (moments before I made the above post)

Before that, the only use of the word chartreuse I was aware of was in the C.W. McCall classic, “Convoy.” (It was the color of the microbus.)

I forget when I learned it exactly… I think it was amid a debate about what color puce was, of all things.

This is extremely significant in that none of those four were ever a reporter, and none of them had any significant experience writing for a newspaper or magazine.

Wood = happy
Sabathia = sad
This = happy

I’m gonna snap under the g-forces of this emotional roller coaster.

Keith Law just found out that BBRAA membership comes with a free paunch and a partial lobotomy
