Pitchers and catchers are reporting in Winter Haven today for the Tribe. With six inches of snow outside my window, that's pretty much the best sentence of the Winter. If my excessive diaries over the past two days aren't an indication, I'm pretty excited to stop talking about Jason Bay, CC's contract, steroids, and start talking about Indians on the field action.
Hoynes has his typical mail-it-in column on the reporting date in today's PD. The only real info there is that Jorge Julio won't be reporting on time because of visa problems and his late signing.
Anthony Castrovince has a more exciting column over at indians.com. Castrovince provides the observation that Victor is coming into camp in very good shape, supposedly 13 pounds lighter than his weight last season.

And reliever Jensen Lewis was scratching his head, wondering why in the world he had packed the "50 Lewis" placard that hung above his locker at Jacobs Field last year.
"I think Ryan Garko and I just packed everything we could grab when we got back from Boston [after the American League Championship Series]," Lewis said with a laugh.
