Bummer that Saturday's game isn't televised...I guess that MLB.TV account is gonna come in handy.

since neither team is broadcasting the game Saturday, the video and announcing on MLB.TV should be absolutely first rate

that is the game that CC is scheduled to pitch against his home town nemesis, the Athletics. Dana Eveland is the probable for Oakland.

I'm pretty sure the saturday day games, anything before 6 or 7 pm eastern are blacked out due to Fox's crazy contract. You may be able to watch it on Fox, though.

Canada, baby, Canada. So wait, only the international kids get to watch this game? That can't be.

Alright scratch that, Fox is broadcasting the game in regional markets, yes?

by supermarioelia on Apr 1, 2008 7:33 PM EDT up reply actions

Here is the Fox schedule for Week 1:

WEEK 1 – April 5, 2008
3:30PM NY METS @ ATLANTA BRAVES
3:30PM CHICAGO WHITE SOX @ DETROIT TIGERS
3:30PM LA DODGERS @ SAN DIEGO PADRES

Guess we can see the game on MLB.TV on a delayed basis.

As shown on the schedule, the April 19 and 26 games will be on Fox regionally (not likely to make it to the West Coast)

I don't think I've ever seen an Indians game on the Fox affiliate in Philly, even when Fox is broadcasting that game. They always pick some other game of closer regional interest, and if there isn't one, they show Home Improvement reruns.

It depends on the market. Granted the Rangers have this deal with the devil so they are likely the Fox game here, but if they are not the Astros are. If neither are slated for the Fox broadcast, our station either carries an NL Central game or AL West game (since fans usually want to cheer against the other teams in their markets). With that said, the Tribe had to be playing the Rangers for the game to have a shot of airing. The same could be said when I took my sabbatical in the Denver area. They often showed an NL West game even if the Rockies had the day off.

It 's really up to the Fox affliate (they can decide to show Home Improvement over the feed they are getting if they want). It kind bits though, this area of Texas has/had a huge Tribe following.

Incredible. These are great!

Here is the link to the Extra Innings schedule for the Indians in April, showing the originating carrier. About 2/3 of the April games are the Cleveland broadcast, including the vast majority of the home games.

Thanks for the image. Its great--and it even works for a wide-screen monitor!

I expect to be pissed off when the fox affiliate in DC doesn't show the Indians games...
