Stomp is outside the circle at this point.

Il faut d'abord durer.

by CU Adam on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT reply actions

Well, there is no circle, it seems.

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:19 PM EDT up reply actions

New thread sucks!!!

by Nat on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT reply actions

This thread does not suck.

This thread is actually linked to the “bugs game.” Click the link above.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:20 PM EDT up reply actions

Haha…..ok then. All I know is I clicked over and Damon got a lead-off double.

by Nat on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT up reply actions

Still beats the hell out of the end of that last thread, though.

Just like Wedge, I waited too long to make my move …

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:22 PM EDT up reply actions

Awesome, I need to read that thread. I was at the game and never went back and read it.

Il faut d'abord durer.

by CU Adam on Apr 26, 2008 6:23 PM EDT up reply actions

It’s not linked to the old thread, it’s linked to the game.

Technical thing, not worth explaining.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:24 PM EDT up reply actions

My need to go back and read that thread remains, though.

I think I was the most stressed out anyone who had had 16 beers in one day has ever been. I practically gave myself a bladder infection because I both refused to stop drinking and leave to go to the bathroom.

Il faut d'abord durer.

by CU Adam on Apr 26, 2008 6:32 PM EDT up reply actions

damon’s pussy swing has officially grown old. bitch.

by Brick. on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT reply actions

shouldnt jhonny be standing like a foot away from the bag in foul territory in that situation, to avoid exactly what happened?

by mpstable on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT reply actions

Get Jenson the fuck out of here…

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT reply actions

Okay, I’ll say it again in this thread:

We are small balling with three innings to go against the yankees, against a pitcher who can’t throw strikes consistently. Wedge, bad bad bad bad bad. Got what we deserved, if you believe in karma, which I don’t.

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT reply actions

that’s why you stand on the bag at third, to avoid the unassisted double play

by pdxtribefan on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT reply actions

Girardi matching us with the bunting. Yay.

Despite all of my best intentions, I have not, in fact, grown up to be a debaser.

by zempf on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT reply actions

Well now we know where all that luck Sowers had went….right to the fucking skankees. Fuck my life and karma

by ahowie on Apr 26, 2008 6:19 PM EDT reply actions

I didn’t get to watch Sowers much…..was it luck that got him out of the jams?

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:20 PM EDT up reply actions

Damn…I was hoping he had a solid outing.

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT up reply actions

Well, consider that he was down in just about every count. And when you consider that he walked only the last batter that he faced, it’s amazing that his strike percentage was in the mid-50s.

Some hard hit atom balls, yeah. But I’ll give him credit for grit.

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT up reply actions

How about a strikeout?

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:19 PM EDT reply actions

ARod’s hair bothers me.

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:20 PM EDT reply actions

Is Cabrera the most overrated Yankee on their team right now? I say yes.

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:20 PM EDT reply actions

I dunno, Cano is hitting like absolute crap right now.

Despite all of my best intentions, I have not, in fact, grown up to be a debaser.

by zempf on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT up reply actions

but he has put up numbers before. Melky is all hype.

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:22 PM EDT up reply actions

LOL… I’ll take it!

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:20 PM EDT reply actions

Finally….Jensen makes me smile.

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT reply actions

He gave up one hit, it was a solid line drive but somewhat luckily placed.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT up reply actions

I meant this season. He’s been painfully erratic….consistent with the rest of the team I guess.

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:23 PM EDT up reply actions

lol @ Leche Cabrera. Retard.

by ahowie on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT reply actions

he bunts/swings like he throws

Jeter’s mannerisms at the plate make me want to kick him.

by Julie on Apr 26, 2008 6:22 PM EDT reply actions

Jeter bitch hit coming up

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:22 PM EDT reply actions

Despite all of my best intentions, I have not, in fact, grown up to be a debaser.

benfran took a bad route to that dribbler.

by emil minty on Apr 26, 2008 6:22 PM EDT reply actions

I pride myself on reading every post here at LGT, but there have been about 5 benfran references today that I really haven’t understood.

by supermarioelia on Apr 26, 2008 6:24 PM EDT up reply actions

It’s more about Delluchi’s sucking.

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:24 PM EDT up reply actions

But what does this have to do with Peralta?

by supermarioelia on Apr 26, 2008 6:25 PM EDT up reply actions

i don’t think i can explain it.

by emil minty on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT up reply actions

We’ll leave it at that.

by supermarioelia on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT up reply actions

I hate Jeter and ARod is terrifying.

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:22 PM EDT reply actions

First and only time I played an MLB video game … I just threw the ball at Jeter’s head, over and over again.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:23 PM EDT reply actions   1 recs

Did you smile while doing this?

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:25 PM EDT up reply actions

Not really. It wasn’t that joyous, I was just doing what needed to be done.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:25 PM EDT up reply actions

Fox’s little graphic showing the baserunners is almost useless.

by Julie on Apr 26, 2008 6:23 PM EDT reply actions

fuck this ump that would have been a strike an inning or two ago

by ahowie on Apr 26, 2008 6:23 PM EDT reply actions

Pinch hit the milk man!

by pdxtribefan on Apr 26, 2008 6:24 PM EDT reply actions

Thank you, Fox, for not putting pitch speeds up.

Is Jensen hitting 90?

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:24 PM EDT reply actions

Is there a difference? I mean, i understand there IS a difference, but functionally for a hitter?

Il faut d'abord durer.

by CU Adam on Apr 26, 2008 6:25 PM EDT up reply actions

Between 89 and 90? Yeah, seriously.

Il faut d'abord durer.

by CU Adam on Apr 26, 2008 6:26 PM EDT up reply actions

Oh, I see what you’re saying.

STO radar guns had JL hitting 93 plenty last year, no?

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:27 PM EDT up reply actions

that’s one hairy pit on Price…

by lesterjl on Apr 26, 2008 6:29 PM EDT up reply actions

Lewis is apparently trying to miss Victor’s target on every pitch.

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:26 PM EDT reply actions

Do you guys see how Jeter takes his lead? OMG it’s so incredibly clutch and magestic. It’s just nice to see a guy who plays the game the right way.

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:26 PM EDT reply actions

magestic?

Like, magic and majestic all at once?

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT up reply actions

Well, it is Jeter.

by Julie on Apr 26, 2008 6:29 PM EDT up reply actions

I need to stop listening to McCarver

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:29 PM EDT up reply actions

A-Rod fouled off 5 now or something.

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:26 PM EDT reply actions

And most were meatballs that badly missed the spot.

New favorite adjective.

Il faut d'abord durer.

by CU Adam on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT up reply actions

Jeter would be Aroddish. He’s clutch.

by Julie on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT reply actions

A-Rod is right on these pitches

The Disabled List just called ... it was trying to unload Joe Borowski. I offered a bagel but balked at giving up a ham sandwich. It wanted to keep Westbrook.

Apparently this was not an exciting game until the Yankees scored…

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT reply actions

In fairness, it was neither close nor late until the Yankees scored, sending a tie game into the 7th inning.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:30 PM EDT up reply actions

ooooooooooooooboy

Jensen actually looks very good, IMO

The Disabled List just called ... it was trying to unload Joe Borowski. I offered a bagel but balked at giving up a ham sandwich. It wanted to keep Westbrook.

by westbrook on Apr 26, 2008 6:29 PM EDT reply actions

That’s crazy results-oriented.

If you have DVR, watch how many pitches were scary off-target.

These guys are a little too jolly about ED.

by Julie on Apr 26, 2008 6:31 PM EDT reply actions

I will keep banging this drum… JL was really, really bad there.

Go back on DVR or TiVo and watch how many pitches were WAY off target. It’s scary.

And his velocity is down? Well, super.

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:31 PM EDT reply actions

I think we all agree with you here.

He was at least changing up where his misses were going.

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:33 PM EDT up reply actions

Grady gets on. Dellucci makes up for a play that he may not have been at fault for. Everyone’s happy, right?

by Julie on Apr 26, 2008 6:33 PM EDT reply actions

Most definitely. Dellucci owes us a run or two here.

Despite all of my best intentions, I have not, in fact, grown up to be a debaser.

DO NOT BUNT SHIT!!!

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:33 PM EDT reply actions

Well that means that Grady is stealing?

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:33 PM EDT reply actions

God, how bad is New York’s bullpen that leaving in Latroy seemed like a good idea to Girardi?

Il faut d'abord durer.

by CU Adam on Apr 26, 2008 6:34 PM EDT reply actions

Actually that bad, believe it or not.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:35 PM EDT up reply actions

by CU Adam on Apr 26, 2008 6:38 PM EDT reply actions

Hey, forgot to post this after DD’s long flyout. Am I crazy for thinking Grady could have tagged and gotten to 2B on Damon’s arm?

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:38 PM EDT reply actions

I thought the exact same thing. Damon’s arm is truely pitiful.

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:38 PM EDT up reply actions

True, but we might both be crazy.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:40 PM EDT up reply actions

I’m ok with that.

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:40 PM EDT up reply actions

I just don’t understand why we aren’t stealing.

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:38 PM EDT reply actions

Haha I don’t get McCarver’s logic. Would they not have walked Vic anyways right now, even if Grady did steal earlier?

by supermarioelia on Apr 26, 2008 6:38 PM EDT reply actions

Make them stop talking about football. I can handle Yankee talk. I can handle Red Sox talk. I don’t care about football. I DON’T CARE.

Awful execution that inning after the leadoff guy got on. And I know we ran into that bad luck with the Casey drive getting snared, but criminal we didn’t score against this stiff.

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:44 PM EDT reply actions

Rafi L was on the radar for a couple of years, Jensen somewhat came out of nowhere last season. He wasn’t expected to arrive that fast, and possibly like AbaCab, he may have been pitching over his head last season, and now in over his head this season.

NBR (No Borowski Run): Refers to that run which puts the Indians up by 4 over an opponent, thereby drastically reducing the chances of Joe Borowski pitching in a game.

I really like that teams are still scared of Hafner.

The Disabled List just called ... it was trying to unload Joe Borowski. I offered a bagel but balked at giving up a ham sandwich. It wanted to keep Westbrook.
