This is torture…

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:17 PM EDT   0 recs

Not as we define it.

by SuddenSam on Apr 26, 2008 6:19 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Stomp is outside the circle at this point.

Il faut d'abord durer.

by CU Adam on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT   0 recs

Well, there is no circle, it seems.

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:19 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

New thread sucks!!!

by Nat on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT   0 recs

This thread does not suck.

This thread is actually linked to the “bugs game.” Click the link above.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:20 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Haha…..ok then. All I know is I clicked over and Damon got a lead-off double.

by Nat on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Still beats the hell out of the end of that last thread, though.

Just like Wedge, I waited too long to make my move …

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:22 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Awesome, I need to read that thread. I was at the game and never went back and read it.

Il faut d'abord durer.

by CU Adam on Apr 26, 2008 6:23 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

It’s not linked to the old thread, it’s linked to the game.

Technical thing, not worth explaining.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:24 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

My need to go back and read that thread remains, though.

I think I was the most stressed out anyone who had had 16 beers in one day has ever been. I practically gave myself a bladder infection because I both refused to stop drinking and leave to go to the bathroom.

Il faut d'abord durer.

by CU Adam on Apr 26, 2008 6:32 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Good times.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:33 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

damon’s pussy swing has officially grown old. bitch.

by Brick. on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT   0 recs

shouldnt jhonny be standing like a foot away from the bag in foul territory in that situation, to avoid exactly what happened?

by mpstable on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT   0 recs

Get Jenson the fuck out of here…

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT   0 recs

Okay, I’ll say it again in this thread:

We are small balling with three innings to go against the yankees, against a pitcher who can’t throw strikes consistently. Wedge, bad bad bad bad bad. Got what we deserved, if you believe in karma, which I don’t.

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT   0 recs

that’s why you stand on the bag at third, to avoid the unassisted double play

by pdxtribefan on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT   0 recs

Girardi matching us with the bunting. Yay.

Despite all of my best intentions, I have not, in fact, grown up to be a debaser.

by zempf on Apr 26, 2008 6:18 PM EDT   0 recs

Masa

by palcal on Apr 26, 2008 6:19 PM EDT   0 recs

Well now we know where all that luck Sowers had went….right to the fucking skankees. Fuck my life and karma

by ahowie on Apr 26, 2008 6:19 PM EDT   0 recs

I didn’t get to watch Sowers much…..was it luck that got him out of the jams?

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:20 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

A fair amount.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:20 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Damn…I was hoping he had a solid outing.

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Well, consider that he was down in just about every count. And when you consider that he walked only the last batter that he faced, it’s amazing that his strike percentage was in the mid-50s.

Some hard hit atom balls, yeah. But I’ll give him credit for grit.

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

How about a strikeout?

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:19 PM EDT   0 recs

Boooooooooo!

by pdxtribefan on Apr 26, 2008 6:20 PM EDT   0 recs

ARod’s hair bothers me.

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:20 PM EDT   0 recs

Is Cabrera the most overrated Yankee on their team right now? I say yes.

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:20 PM EDT   0 recs

I dunno, Cano is hitting like absolute crap right now.

Despite all of my best intentions, I have not, in fact, grown up to be a debaser.

by zempf on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

but he has put up numbers before. Melky is all hype.

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:22 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

LOL… I’ll take it!

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:20 PM EDT   0 recs

Eww.

by Julie on Apr 26, 2008 6:20 PM EDT   0 recs

Finally….Jensen makes me smile.

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT   0 recs

He gave up one hit, it was a solid line drive but somewhat luckily placed.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I meant this season. He’s been painfully erratic….consistent with the rest of the team I guess.

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:23 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

lol @ Leche Cabrera. Retard.

by ahowie on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT   0 recs

he bunts/swings like he throws

The Disabled List just called ... it was trying to unload Joe Borowski. I offered a bagel but balked at giving up a ham sandwich. It wanted to keep Westbrook.

by westbrook on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT   0 recs

The milk man delivers

by pdxtribefan on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT   0 recs

Jeter’s mannerisms at the plate make me want to kick him.

by Julie on Apr 26, 2008 6:22 PM EDT   0 recs

Jeter bitch hit coming up

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:22 PM EDT   0 recs

Man, NY is getting lucky right now.

Despite all of my best intentions, I have not, in fact, grown up to be a debaser.

by zempf on Apr 26, 2008 6:22 PM EDT   0 recs

benfran took a bad route to that dribbler.

by emil minty on Apr 26, 2008 6:22 PM EDT   0 recs

I pride myself on reading every post here at LGT, but there have been about 5 benfran references today that I really haven’t understood.

by supermarioelia on Apr 26, 2008 6:24 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

It’s more about Delluchi’s sucking.

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:24 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

But what does this have to do with Peralta?

by supermarioelia on Apr 26, 2008 6:25 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

i don’t think i can explain it.

by emil minty on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

We’ll leave it at that.

by supermarioelia on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

DP right here

by ahowie on Apr 26, 2008 6:22 PM EDT   0 recs

I hate Jeter and ARod is terrifying.

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:22 PM EDT   0 recs

First and only time I played an MLB video game … I just threw the ball at Jeter’s head, over and over again.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:23 PM EDT   1 recs

lmao awesome

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:24 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

True story.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:25 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Did you smile while doing this?

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:25 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Not really. It wasn’t that joyous, I was just doing what needed to be done.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:25 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Fox’s little graphic showing the baserunners is almost useless.

by Julie on Apr 26, 2008 6:23 PM EDT   0 recs

fuck this ump that would have been a strike an inning or two ago

by ahowie on Apr 26, 2008 6:23 PM EDT   0 recs

Pinch hit the milk man!

by pdxtribefan on Apr 26, 2008 6:24 PM EDT   0 recs

Thank you, Fox, for not putting pitch speeds up.

Is Jensen hitting 90?

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:24 PM EDT   0 recs

Is there a difference? I mean, i understand there IS a difference, but functionally for a hitter?

Il faut d'abord durer.

by CU Adam on Apr 26, 2008 6:25 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Seriously?

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:26 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Between 89 and 90? Yeah, seriously.

Il faut d'abord durer.

by CU Adam on Apr 26, 2008 6:26 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Oh, I see what you’re saying.

STO radar guns had JL hitting 93 plenty last year, no?

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:27 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

No … 88-89.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:27 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

that’s one hairy pit on Price…

by lesterjl on Apr 26, 2008 6:29 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

No. 88-89

by pdxtribefan on Apr 26, 2008 6:25 PM EDT   0 recs

Lewis is apparently trying to miss Victor’s target on every pitch.

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:26 PM EDT   0 recs

Do you guys see how Jeter takes his lead? OMG it’s so incredibly clutch and magestic. It’s just nice to see a guy who plays the game the right way.

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:26 PM EDT   0 recs

magestic?

Like, magic and majestic all at once?

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Well, it is Jeter.

by Julie on Apr 26, 2008 6:29 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I need to stop listening to McCarver

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:29 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

A-Rod fouled off 5 now or something.

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:26 PM EDT   0 recs

And most were meatballs that badly missed the spot.

by tabler84 on Apr 26, 2008 6:27 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

oh c’mon!!!

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:27 PM EDT   0 recs

Look of concern creeps across my face.

by pdxtribefan on Apr 26, 2008 6:27 PM EDT   0 recs

Not A-rodish….

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:27 PM EDT   0 recs

Very McCarverish.

by pdxtribefan on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

New favorite adjective.

Il faut d'abord durer.

by CU Adam on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

very a-hole-ish

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Jeter would be Aroddish. He’s clutch.

by Julie on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT   0 recs

A-Rod is right on these pitches

The Disabled List just called ... it was trying to unload Joe Borowski. I offered a bagel but balked at giving up a ham sandwich. It wanted to keep Westbrook.

by westbrook on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT   0 recs

Apparently this was not an exciting game until the Yankees scored…

by mjschaefer on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT   0 recs

In fairness, it was neither close nor late until the Yankees scored, sending a tie game into the 7th inning.

by Jay on Apr 26, 2008 6:30 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

ooooooooooooooboy

by gte619n on Apr 26, 2008 6:28 PM EDT   0 recs

by new zealand tribe fan on Apr 26, 2008 6:29 PM EDT   0 recs

Whee!

by Julie on Apr 26, 2008 6:29 PM EDT   0 recs

I think Giambi’s head is bigger than it was when this game started.

Il faut d'abord durer.
