Tribe Fan in Taiwan

In my attempt to re-find the gems (such as the holocene slaughter balls) that came with the translation of Masa's profile with the Chiba Lotte Marines, I came across another site. This time it is an Indians fan site from Taiwan (it looks like he reads Let's go Tribe as well).

It looks like its updated pretty regularly and translates reasonably well (the translated version is linked above). For instance, I learned that AAA is known as the Union and a pitcher's individual start is La Shanglai. Also, I couldn't miss the "Joe Borowski pitching the disease had not". Looks like JoBo was fine all along.

Regardless, it's good to see that the Indians have fans all around the world. Forget the Red Sox Nation, I prefer the Cleveland Indians Global Domination.

Just FYI, I live in Okinawa Japan, some 500 miles east of Taiwan. So Tribe Global Domination is prevalent. (Although I am in the military)

It’s good to see some worldwide presence. You get to go to any games while you’re out there?

This spring training season came to an end and if you are current with the political situation, you undoubtedly know that all bases on Okinawa were on lock-down due to an alleged rape case with a Marine against a 14 year old girl. So although I wanted to get some JBL ST in, I was unable to. I did however get some Masa baseball cards.. .He played for Bobby Valentine out here. There are a lot of Americans playing. Benny Agbayani to mention one I know. These guys are good out here. the quad A ….or National League caliber.

The Google automatic translation leaves something to be desired. Below is the first paragraph of yesterday’s potsing, first translated by Google and then by my wife, who does not know a lot about baseball and without any help from me.. My wife did ask for my suggestions to improve her translation, but I think I will encourage her to stick to current events. I may ask her to monitor this site to see if this blogger comes up with any interesting info on Indians prospects in Taiwan.

Jeremy Sowers yesterday invoked on the Alliance, voted in the five still can match in the sixth, when turbulence, one out bases loaded in the case of exit. 退場後,壘包上的三個跑者都被開季球速掉了不少的Jensen Lewis送回本壘,Sowers也因此失去勝投資格。 Withdrew after Leibao on the three runners have been a quarter ball out a lot of Jensen Lewis sent back to home plate, Sowers also lost investment-grid.

Jeremy Sowers was called to MLB yesterday, pitched 5 innings OK game, leaving the game at the sixth inning with 1 out and the bases loaded. With the help of Jensen Lewis, whose pitching speed dropped dramatically since the beginning of the season, three runners on the bases all scored. Sowers lost the win.

As Masa gets more playing time, and his success is all over the local news, I have been noticing more and more local Okinawans sporting Chief Wahoo on their respective grapes. Still the Sox fans and Mariners fans vastly outweigh the Tribe fans, but it is good to see the right shades of Red White and Blue.

When I went to the Japanese baseball H.O.F. at the Tokyo dome, there was only one lonely Indians hat. There was a Japanese guy there contemplating whether to buy a Yankees or Red Sox hat. I politely suggested he get the Indians one.

I left soon after and assumed that he bought the Indians one. (Though I doubt it)

The batter swings and the summer flies...
