Nintendo and AJ
Have you guys seen this?
DETROIT -- There was a reason White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski spent mornings at his locker in spring training playing with his Nintendo DS. And, no, it wasn't training to beat self-proclaimed team ''Madden '08'' champion Matt Thornton. Pierzynski has been working with a vision-training game on his handheld device with the hope of improving his ability to pick up the baseball. So far, the reviews are good: two home runs, a .529 batting average and a team-high seven RBI through four games. ''With his hand-eye coordination and ability to hit the ball the other way, he should be a big RBI guy,'' teammate Paul Konerko said. Like many of the Sox hitters last season, Pierzynski's approach at the plate went from a good plan to trying to do too much to ''When's the season over?'' Not this year. ''When I'm good, it's when I'm hitting the ball left field to right field,'' Pierzynski said. ''It's something we worked on in spring training. And it's not really even left field as much as trying to stay up the middle, shoot the ball to center, go from there and let the pitch dictate where the ball goes. I'm off to a good start, and hopefully I can keep it up.'
Can we get Pronk a DS?

Hello Patrick,
I'm all for it. Give Marte, Dellucci, and Blake a DS each as well. And have Peralta and Gutierrez practice for a bit on one (they may not need to own one, but could use some practice to get their timing and form back, as both seem to have lost it from the first few games of the season.)
Just my 2 cents. :-)
The "cream of the crop" doesn't always rise to the top.
