Polanco (Officially) Makes an Error
There is no link for this yet - just heard it on the radio. After being the beneficiary of a few generous scoring decisions (that I can recall) last year, Polanco officially made a throwing error in the Bottom of the 3rd of today's Tigers/Red Sox matinee, allowing Manny Ramirez to score. This snaps his record for errorless games by a second baseman. From the radio description, I cannot imagine this scoring decision will change before tomorrow's game - after all, they're not playing in Detroit.
Perhaps more importantly, the Red Sox lead Detroit 2-0 after 3 innings.

Wow. Rogers at 82 pitches after 3.1
Leyland's got to be hating that.

And the MCK waste a bases loaded opportunity in the 6th. Still 3-0, Sawx over MCK.
And, really, I'm kinda conflicted about rooting for the Sawx here.

Me too. I just feel dirty.
Also Bill Buckner threw out the first pitch for their home opener. There's no truth to the rumor that he rolled it between Veritek's legs though.

Now 5-0. Grilli just gave up a run on a base-loaded walk to JD Drew.

I am enjoying the Tigers troubles so, soo much.
I'm officially removing myself as president of the Gutz for MVP campaign. He will have to earn it back.
