Survey: The Jake Is Best MLB Stadium
SI asked its readers to rank the best stadiums in baseball across a variety of categories and it's obviously wise and progressive fan base called Jacobs Field the best, something we can all agree on.
The Brewers, Pirates, Tigers and Cardinals respectively (and respectfully) round out the top 5. The Nationals (I live in the DC area) come in second-to-last so I assume that's based on RFK though I have to say I'm not wowed by their new home either.
I have said for many years that Cleveland has one of the best home crowds in baseball, good to see other fans acknowledge that, only Seattle ranks higher in terms of fan experience. And much of that is probably drug induced anyway.

NBR (No Borowski Run): Refers to that run which puts the Indians up by 4 over an opponent, thereby drastically reducing the chances of Joe Borowski pitching in a game.
The down-screen location of the FanShots really reduces their usefulness. I wish there was some way to differentiate between “actual news” FanShots and “random crap” FanShots besides waiting for a site mod to bump it. Because to my mind, the priority ranking of user-generated content would be (1) news FanShots, (2) FanPosts, (3) random crap FanShots.
Of course, then we’d be wondering if the J. Prog’s SI.com survey rankings qualify as news. I dunno. I appreciate the distinction that SBNation’s trying to have us draw here, and it’s definitely an improvement over the old anything-goes sidebar, but in practice there are still some head-scratching moments like this one.

Does it? I like the idea of Link + Two Lines of Explanation = FanShot, regardless of purpose, it’s way more efficient. I guess this is the sort of thing more liberal use of tags could help eventually.

FanShots should be on the left side of the screen across from the FanPosts.
There’s no need to have the roster located in a prominent spot when it’s only going to be look at every once in awhile. Switch them up and things like this would happen less.
And there’d be less scrolling.
I had thought of that but haven’t suggested it yet. There is a small problem in that the design specifies different and fixed widths for the left and right columns, so objects are not necessarily freely movable between them.
