Who here likes Fausto Carmona?

Hey guys, this is a unique FanPost with an inconsequential message.

I recently purchased my first Indians jersey and did not know what I was doing.  I bought one of the new alternate home jerseys with Fausto's number 55 on the back. It's the authentic, high-end one.  All well and good except I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to jersey size.  So I bought a 52, which is too big for me.

So, you're thinking, just return it!  But here's the catch.  All player jerseys are considered "custom" because you have to order a specific player.  So all sales are final.  ANOTHER fact I was not aware of.

So here we are.  I've got a brand new, never worn, only tried on Fausto Carmona alternate home jersey, as seen here  It's beautiful AND really nice.  I wish it fit me.  Since we're all friends I might be willing to give a little discount, since the alternative is having to eat the cost.  My e-mail is in my profile, feel free to send me a message if you're interested.  All general questions can go here.

PS So the thread isn't a complete waste of everybody's time but mine, post here and name the three albums you most recently listened to.

I imagine it’s like a suit jacket sizes. So that means it’s a 2XL.

Probably fit comfortably on a guy in the 230-250 lb range.

That knocks me out.

And I was actually considering a Carmona jersey earlier today as well …

I find all the gonzo keyboard production on Summer Teeth can get a little tiresome, but when I saw Jeff Tweedy on one of his solo acoustic tours, those were by far the best songs in terms of lyrics and chords.

I don’t know if this is off-topic or on-topic….but Fausto’s pretty much the unofficial/official LGT favorite Tribe player, right?

by APV on May 12, 2008 8:32 AM EDT reply reply   0 recs

Definitely my favorite, obviously. Although the main factor in the jersey selection was the club-friendly contract through 2014. That’s pretty cool too.

by NickFantana on May 12, 2008 8:49 AM EDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

There’s the quote from Torii Hunter, the “bug-game”, the ice cold Fausto, the internal development, his domination of Santana last year….

For me, it was watching him play on the Captains five minutes from my house and thinking “damn, this guy is gonna be special.”

by Turkmenbashi on May 12, 2008 9:41 AM EDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

That’s an interesting question. Not too many people mentioned him in their list of favorite Indians (although several other current Indians were on people’s lists – including relative newcomers like Cabrera!) I really like Fausto, but I have a feeling people are still a little nervous about him and his control issues this season. I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t really like Fausto and root for him (nothing like the I still don’t like -Cliff Lee undercurrents or the anti-CC hostility that emerged when he was stinking the place up). He’s clearly a popular guy, just not yet on a pedestal.

by Toxicadam on May 12, 2008 9:55 AM EDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

Love Fausto. The wife wouldn’t even consider the name for our new son. I think she was thinking it is too close to Dr. Faustus. Carsten Charles was suggested but not with much vigor considering he isn’t likely to be on the team for long.

So I was bored and I like listening to new music (interpretation….not wanting to grade 56 5 page papers about Global Biological Changes), so I made a Pandora station and used all the music listed above as seeds. If anyone else is interested in listening to “Lets Go Tribe Radio”, I think you can just click the link below.

http://www.pandora.com/?sc=sh23551947134620458

FYI: Not sure if it will show all my other stations, but I want to point out that since we listen at home, my wife makes stations under my account. This accounts for “Celine Dion Radio” and “Carrie Underwood Radio”.
