I can hear the playoff story now…. “This Cleveland Indians team struggled mightily in the month fo April, not even getting above .500 until May 12th. Now they are just 3 outs away from a world championship.”

let’s play it safe:

surely we’ll have a Marte sighting in game 2 of a doubleheader, right?

Yeah, Marte’s playing at third; ignore that lineup above. Vic’s at first.

I remember A Rivas game where he did really well.

And I remember Jason Tyner hitting his first home run here into the bullpen.

Put two and two together and you get a tremendous game.

i just checked out the mood at the Jays SBN site, to see their thoughts at that powerhouse lineup being used in game2. we’ve got it easy.

But since the Jays haven’t scored over the last 2 games and in fact have only managed 1 run in the 3 games so far in this series, it doesn’t really matter what the lineup is, does it? Put it this way, to be watching the Jays at this point, you’ve got to have some pretty deep-seated emotional and/or mental issues
go get ‘em, cliffy!

1. C. Lee – 0.68

Just mentioned on the Jays broadcast that scout Ron Hansen in at the Prog tonight. What makes this kinda cool is that he turned an unassisted triple play in 1968.

They showed him on STO a few innings ago. His UATP was turned against the Indians; Joe Azcue was the hitter.

According to wikipedia, that was the only one in a 65-year stretch. Which seems nutty, but that’s what it says.

I was going to mention this in the 8th but didn’t want to jinx things. Let’s do it.

We had three Indian hitters trying to hit a homerun in that inning.

nice cue of “WAKE UP CALL” by the PA

The Disabled List just called ... it was trying to unload Joe Borowski. I offered a bagel but balked at giving up a ham sandwich. It wanted to keep Westbrook.

Minny up 7-3 in the 8th on Boston….would be nice to steal this game from Marcum and the Jays, not that Cliff didn’t do his part to earn it.

I love Betancourt, but watching him pitch is kinda agonizing.

I gotta imagine that it’s hard to react any other way when you see the ball coming right at you, though. I can’t fault him for trying to knock it down.
