I can hear the playoff story now…. “This Cleveland Indians team struggled mightily in the month fo April, not even getting above .500 until May 12th. Now they are just 3 outs away from a world championship.”

let’s play it safe:

surely we’ll have a Marte sighting in game 2 of a doubleheader, right?

by ASP on May 12, 2008 6:57 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Yeah, Marte’s playing at third; ignore that lineup above. Vic’s at first.

by Brick. on May 12, 2008 7:16 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I remember A Rivas game where he did really well.

And I remember Jason Tyner hitting his first home run here into the bullpen.

Put two and two together and you get a tremendous game.

i just checked out the mood at the Jays SBN site, to see their thoughts at that powerhouse lineup being used in game2. we’ve got it easy.

But since the Jays haven’t scored over the last 2 games and in fact have only managed 1 run in the 3 games so far in this series, it doesn’t really matter what the lineup is, does it? Put it this way, to be watching the Jays at this point, you’ve got to have some pretty deep-seated emotional and/or mental issues
go get ‘em, cliffy!

How in the hell did the Royals amass a 12 game losing streak against the Orioles?

by afh4 on May 12, 2008 7:28 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

i’ll need to get a look at that situation from the panini cam
