Laffey stays, Tyner goes
I know this was brought up in the game log, but just in case people missed it, Castrovince reports that Tyner was DFA'd and Laffey will stay "for another week." Also speculation about Masa becoming the closer.

Tyner Rips Twins for Letting Him Go (Minneapolis Star-Tribune, May 14)
Former Twins outfielder Jason Tyner told an Ohio newspaper that he was surprised the Twins let him go—and he’s looking forward to facing them when his new team, Cleveland, plays the Twins next month.
I actually kinda feel bad for the guy, but I’m an old softie like that.
i just looked at Tyner’s b-ref page. his numbers are really bad. but i am glad i made it to the end of the page, bc the names of some of the similar players are hysterical. it’s almost like you can tell what Tyner’s skill set is based on the names of similar players
I just went to see for myself, and that was a much-needed laugh there.
Disclaimer: this post doesn't mean what you think it means.
I don’t think we should be playing with fire here. Tyner will be on a mission when his next ballclub comes to town and faces us

I feel led astray by Shap on the radio interview with Hammy pre-game yesterday. Don’t mistake this comment for wishing that Laffey had been sent down, nothing could be further from the truth.

Are you referring to Shap or Wedge? I couldn’t find Shap on the replay. I listened to Wedge’s comments, which were vague but indicated he would be very happy to keep Laffey.
I thought it was Shapiro that Hammy was interviewing. I was, admittedly, having problem with my XM reception in my office, perhaps it was Wedge. I was piecing together a conversation, so I may have filled in some blanks erroneously. MadLibs…
