My guess is Joe Sewell, I was looking at his amazing (non) strikeout totals a few weeks ago. I mean 1925, 608 AB’s 4 strikeouts. Utterly amazing.

Wasn’t Rod Carew notoriously hard to strike out? But, I doubt he ever got as low as 4 strike outs in a year.

Never mind. I looked Carew up. He struck out a fair number of times.

I hate to ruin this game, kiddies, but since the formation of Major League Baseball, I have never struck out. In fact, I have never recorded an out of any kind. My lowest strikeout total in any one season is 0. Q.V.C.

If you were good enough, maybe we'd name it after you.

Congrats Clemens.
Joe Sewell, who played for the Tribe from 1920 to 1930 was the toughest to K. His lowest total was 3 in 1930; He struck out just 114 times in 7132 career at-bats, or roughly once ever 63 at-bats.
HIRE JOE SEWELL?
I tried to make Paul Reuschel my Avatar, but he didn't fit into the box.
