Twins Claim Breslow
The Twins have announced that they've claimed Craig Breslow off waivers. No word on who's next to fall for the fallacy that they can make Jorge Julio into a reliable major league pitcher.

Santana.
Nathan.
Neshek.
They just seem to have really good luck taking pitchers nobody else wants and getting the use out of them.
Nathan was a highly coveted prospect that they acquired along with Liriano and Bonser for AJ P
Santana was rule V
As Dorn said, you’ll have to provide more evidence than this.
Nathan and Santana were not anyone’s fodder, ever. Also, Neshek was a 6th round pick by the Twins, so that wouldn’t fit your description either.
Sindney Ponson.
Ramon Ortiz.
Livan Hernandez.
Wait, that’s a different list.

gte … you have laid an egg here.
Santana was Rule 5, everyone knew he could be really good, but nobody thought a team would select a guy who was 2-3 years from being ready for the majors, and keep him on the 25-man all year even though he couldn’t compete there. Obviously, they were wrong.
Nathan was one of the best relievers in the game the year before the Twins got him. 83 K in 79 IP, 2.96 ERA. Really, really good.
Neshek was a draft pick. Their draft pick.
So that … zero waiver claims … and zero pitchers that nobody else wanted.

those are the only 3 player the Twins have picked off ‘the screaheap’ that have been worth a darn over the last 3 years. Otherwise, the Twins have picked up these middle of the road minor league players in trades
