I think it’s time to unleash our pitchers into the lineup. I’m actually surprised that the masses haven’t started a “hit C.C. cleanup” campaign with how putrid our offense has performed.

There is a much better chance that Laffey could field a decent shortstop than that C.C. could be a decent hitter.

Maybe, but (according to my quick google search) there hasn’t been a left-handed shortstop in the bigs since Wee Willie Keeler played a few games there (played second base, third and shortstop 71 times) in the early 1900’s, whereas Rick Ankiel is currently a major-league outfielder.
