BenFran to get the call
Francisco was pulled from his game with Buffalo today. Yahoo! surmises Michaels or Marte could be on the chopping block, but the move can't be announced until Tues.
Do we know something they don't?

I will bloody well flip if they cut Marte loose, unless it’s in a huge package to get an impact bat. I will absolutely go stratospheric.

It has to be Michaels .. or maybe Mastny/Breslow (?)
The return of Choo-Choo is right around the corner too…

PD says he is being called up on Tuesday (see palcal’s fanpost). Maybe its Laffey that gets sent down and they go without a 5th starter for a few days again, then bring up Sowers? Could we do this for the rest of the year, basically creating a 6-man rotation?? That would be the least impactful, next to DFA’ing Breslow or sending Mastny down.
The most significant thing this could mean would be Michaels or Marte traded or DFA’d… right? Nothing bigger could be on the horizon could it?

Of course something big could be on the horizon, but it doesn’t seem likely.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Shapiro had a better-than-a-bag-of-balls trade for Michaels kind of lined up and in their back pocket - possibly more than one - and maybe this is when they pull the trigger. Or possibly one for Marte, but that seems less likely, as Marte is less useful on a major league roster than Michaels — most teams don’t have three viable CF, as we presently do — not to mention it would be an immensely short-selling move.

“I don’t know what their plans are,” Francisco said. “But Torey [Lovullo, Bisons manager] told me to be ready to play. I’ll be there Tuesday, ready to be in the lineup if they want me to be.“It’s definitely a little boost to be in the big leagues.”
It’s a boost to have you…

Torey Lovullo has a real nice interview over at baseballprospectus. Its subscriber only though. But he talks alot about his interview with DePodesta for the Dodger’s job prior to them giving it to Grady Little, and the use of statistical analysis within the Indians organization. He also talks alot about ins and outs of managing.
