That’s freakin awesome!

You have no idea the physical toll that three vasectomies have on a person

HIs by-the-book humility quotes are mind-blowing.

Maybe the demotion really changed him.

I saw Lee pitch several times in spring training earlier this year. I saw him walk down the 3rd base line and acknowledge the crowd when they called out to him. IMO, the demotion most certainly had an impact on him. How can you go from 18 wins in the bigs to a demotion to Buffalo and not have it impact you ?

Too bad they can’t send Hafner’s ass down to Buffalo to get him straightened out … Hafner ,right now, is a negative entity on this 25 man roster. There are certainly others who have also been much like him in terms of lack of production; but they don’t carry the financial obligation. What a freaking disappointment he has been.

I like the first commenter’s take: It’s all BA/bip! Clearly!

The first commenter to the article, not still ill.

If he were here, I’d gently remind him that BA/bip is not related to the fact that his K/BB ratio is 39:2.

Lederer answered it pretty well in his comment.

So did Jay, I noticed.

Pretty cool. Odd, though, that the team doesn’t travel together, isn’t it?

I rode the wrong train too late yesterday!

My two questions: What Indians would get recognized on the subway? C.C., Pronk, maybe Grady.

And who winks “as if to say, ‘Good job,’”?

by dgcambridge on May 8, 2008 6:52 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

If Fausto doesn’t get recognized in Winter Haven beside the stands, no chance anyone outside of those three gets noticed on the NY subway.

I saw the second Incarnation of Jesus Christ, Joba, on the subway after a game last season. I didn’t say anything to him though because he was playing with his son.

I don’t know why I didn’t think of this earlier, but it makes total sense to ride the train to the game you’re starting in. What better way to motivate yourself to eat the heart of darkness than to stew in it for a half hour?
