10 straight starts without a day-off for Blake. Perfectly justifiable.

by supermarioelia on Jun 11, 2008 6:49 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

In his last 12 games Blake is hitting .318/.400/.614.

by JesseAK on Jun 11, 2008 7:00 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

So I guess he continues to play every day? This is what you’re advocating for?

by supermarioelia on Jun 11, 2008 7:14 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

No, I am saying that there is justification for riding the hot hand. There was every reason in the world to bench him when he was stinking up the joint, but like it or not, he’s been pretty good at the plate of late.

Not to pile on, but honestly what do you want? If he plays well should we bench him then?

Barfield can’t swing bat today. Wedge suggests DL if he can’t swing tomorrow, would not be replaced by Cabrera.

At first I thought this said Wedge suggests that Barf DH if he can’t swing tomorrow. Which would be hilarious.
