Dawgs By Nature - Find out why Pittsburgh still sucks.

by ChrisPokorny on Jun 12, 2008 9:44 PM EDT   0 recs

we should trust them

by mrich on Jun 12, 2008 9:44 PM EDT   0 recs

did they just switch Choo and Francisco?
1) when is the last time two position players just switched like that?
2) Why no Gutz?

by DaytonDogg on Jun 12, 2008 9:45 PM EDT   0 recs

Manning speculating that they want to give each of them a little playing time in the opposite position.

by Jay on Jun 12, 2008 9:45 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

And now we know that Choo closes his eyes when he tries to catch a ball against the wall.

by gahnki on Jun 12, 2008 9:47 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Mujica has Carroll’s back.

by DaytonDogg on Jun 12, 2008 9:45 PM EDT   0 recs

Rookies need respect.

Eddie M. running away from circle of trust right now.

by peter m on Jun 12, 2008 9:46 PM EDT   0 recs

He’s trying out his new fork/slurve ball of death pitch.

"the most vehement Yankee-hating guy I know" - Jay

by mauichuck on Jun 12, 2008 9:47 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

he’s got a plus plus holocene slaughter ball too

by mrich on Jun 12, 2008 9:48 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

What the hell happened to everyone?

Weren’t there, like, 40 people in that other thread?

by Jay on Jun 12, 2008 9:46 PM EDT   0 recs

FIRE CH…

oh hello there chuck.

by mrich on Jun 12, 2008 9:47 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Hey did I ever tell you what I think of Haf….......ah, never mind.

"the most vehement Yankee-hating guy I know" - Jay

by mauichuck on Jun 12, 2008 9:48 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

And that, sir, is the genius of parody.

by gahnki on Jun 12, 2008 9:48 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I crack myself up sometimes.

You are now bordering on funny. Very close.

Just thought you’d like to know.

by Jay on Jun 12, 2008 9:51 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

They’ve all come to my site :D

Really…we should all soak in the day that Jamey Carroll became a beast.

Dawgs By Nature - Find out why Pittsburgh still sucks.

Andra Davis is a quality MLB. I don’t care what you say.

by gahnki on Jun 12, 2008 9:51 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

But Angela Davis plays much better SSLB.

"the most vehement Yankee-hating guy I know" - Jay

by mauichuck on Jun 12, 2008 9:53 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

if by “quality” you mean “slow”, then sure, I’m on board.

by mrich on Jun 12, 2008 9:53 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

No..some guy on a random Browns website said that he was going to mess up Chris because he insulted Andra Davis on his website.

Andra Davis is undeniably slow.

by gahnki on Jun 12, 2008 9:55 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Thanks gahn “Mr. Obvious” ki. Anyone is quality…we’re looking for elite.

I went to look up where Steve Stone is now and trying to keep from sobbing after learning he’s on radio for the White Sox.

by Julie on Jun 12, 2008 9:48 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

He got into a little bit of thing with the Cubs.

by dgcambridge on Jun 12, 2008 9:49 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

That Kent Mercker!

by Julie on Jun 12, 2008 9:51 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

It’s ok, it actually makes listening to sox games really entertaining. And you can always root against them (sometimes it seems like Stone actually is)

Rooney and Farmer together were a little too solipsistic for my tastes (“so i’m in church the other week, and father mcstuffnsuch is talking about golf…”) but Stone keeps Farmer more on topic. They’re very good together.

by mrich on Jun 12, 2008 9:51 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Farmer is good only when he’s off topic. The farther afield the better.

by odradek on Jun 12, 2008 11:31 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I really wish Grady wouldn’t do that in a 12-2 game…

by Fundamentals on Jun 12, 2008 9:50 PM EDT   0 recs

BUT HE’S A BASEBALL PLAYER.

Hard truth: Your eyes lie.

by AngG on Jun 12, 2008 9:50 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

And worth the price of the ticket!

by peter m on Jun 12, 2008 9:52 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

The ladies love it as much in a blowout as they do in a close game.

by gahnki on Jun 12, 2008 9:51 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Sometimes.

Hard truth: Your eyes lie.

by AngG on Jun 12, 2008 9:52 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

You’re only one lady. If we pared you up with another you’re “groupthink orthodoxy” takes over.

by gahnki on Jun 12, 2008 9:53 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

HEY JULIE. Grady diving for balls in blowouts: Hot or not?

Hard truth: Your eyes lie.

by AngG on Jun 12, 2008 9:54 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

NOT HOT!

by Julie on Jun 12, 2008 9:54 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I find it sort of endearingly stupid, personally.

Hard truth: Your eyes lie.

by AngG on Jun 12, 2008 9:55 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

My cat the other day got his teeth stuck in a styrofoam peanut. It’s about up there with that. :D

by Julie on Jun 12, 2008 9:57 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Gives you a pretty good idea what kind of guys AngG would date.

by Jay on Jun 12, 2008 9:58 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

She can date Bertram, but he sheds.

by Julie on Jun 12, 2008 9:58 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

This is unfortunately true.

Hard truth: Your eyes lie.

by AngG on Jun 12, 2008 9:58 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

You and your fan fiction.

by Jay on Jun 12, 2008 9:54 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

This isn’t fan fiction. THIS IS A REAL LIFE QUESTION.

Hard truth: Your eyes lie.

by AngG on Jun 12, 2008 9:55 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I’d just forgotten that I read that. Thanks. Thanks a lot.

by Fundamentals on Jun 12, 2008 9:55 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I referenced it in the other thread. Everyone was too embarassed to reply and admit they’d read it.

by Voltaire on Jun 12, 2008 10:38 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

That sentence has me wondering.

by peter m on Jun 12, 2008 9:55 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Hard truth: Your eyes lie.

by mrich on Jun 12, 2008 9:55 PM EDT   0 recs

by xrickx on Jun 12, 2008 9:55 PM EDT   0 recs

by mrich on Jun 12, 2008 9:57 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

by xrickx on Jun 12, 2008 10:04 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I thought he did… because I thought Carroll was hit on purpose.

by DaytonDogg on Jun 12, 2008 9:57 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

This is when you miss Kenny Lofton on the team. Pound for pound, best fighter in baseball.

This is obviously only true post-Nolan Ryan’s retirement.

Albert Belle? Milton Bradley?

by odradek on Jun 12, 2008 11:33 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Okay, hypothetical question for the group.

Grady Sizemore, young star, cover of SI, long-term contract … comes out of the closet.

What happens?

by Jay on Jun 12, 2008 9:56 PM EDT   0 recs

We all come out with him.

by Gradyforpresident on Jun 12, 2008 9:57 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I immediately buy a Sizemore jersey.

by Julie on Jun 12, 2008 9:57 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

i immediately scoop up a “mrs sizemore” jersey…

by DontCallMeJoey on Jun 12, 2008 9:59 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

That’d be awesome.

by Julie on Jun 12, 2008 10:00 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

It is true, they could start making them in men’s sizes and sell a truckload.

by Jay on Jun 12, 2008 10:02 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

A whole lotta awkward.

Hard truth: Your eyes lie.

by AngG on Jun 12, 2008 9:57 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Well it would be their fault, really.

by dgcambridge on Jun 12, 2008 9:59 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Media gets excited, puts up a bunch of stories, tries extra extra hard to find controversial quotes.

Nobody cares, and it all blows over.

by dgcambridge on Jun 12, 2008 9:58 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Wow, I would love to see it, but I wish it was someone more nationally recognized as great. Someone the non-baseball fan would think of a good baseball player.
